How can I either a) remove the formatting from the featured blog post area on the homepage of the Education theme or b) switch out the featured blog post area for a simple text widget area? I'm trying to add some basic text testimonials and don't want to have the borders, meta, etc from the post.

    Thank you!

You could use a text widget or remove the borders meta etc using CSS.

I tried to find all the css from the borders, but I guess I didn't find them all.

Where would I add a text widget to in order to have it show up there, though?

    In any widget area.

I understand how to add a text widget, but the area that streams in recent posts on the home page doesn't really have a place to add a text widget. Not at least that I can find. Am I looking at this wrong?
