It would be nice if StudioPress offers more in the field of education. Specially video tuts in customizing or making themes. Now we are depending on affiliates and their well-intentioned short lessons. Something else, who can tell me where I can buy lessons special focused on making themes in WordPress. Or what school is a good choice, Udemy, Codeschool, Webdesign.com? They all have the PHP, HTML, CSS and JS stuff, but i am curious in the (missing) link between coding skills and WordPress themes/plugins. It doesn't exists now, but what comes closest to my wishes?

I agree, the affiliates are very generous with their help, but their main objective is to get hired to do the customizations. I have found that for php problems sitepoint is an excellent source.

Try Digging into WordPress by Chris Coyier, he also has a tutorial on Lynda.com.
