    Hello,
    I have been trying forever to get the Search bar to reduce in size. I have found out this is whats distorting my navigation bar (making it larger).

    I converted my template to HTML5, after the conversion the Search bar doesn't not want to fit in the navigation. Can anyone help with this issue?

    Thanks,

    Add the following at the end of child theme's style.css (WP dashboard -> Appearance -> Editor):

    .nav-primary .search-form input[type="search"] {
        padding: 3px 5px;
        margin-right: 0.3em;
    }

    .genesis-nav-menu li.search {
        margin-top: 0.2em;
    }

    .nav-primary {
        height: auto;
    }

    .search-form input[type="submit"] {
        display: none;
    }
