I am having a small issue (well maybe not small) with my dropdown navigation appearing behind the images of a slideshow below it.

Here is my page http://www.simcoeplastics.com/ The theme is a customized version of Corporate and the slideshow image are done using WP Cycle.

I have tried using z-index on the navigation but that doesn't seem to work, or I did it wrong.

If anyone can give me some tips or hints on how to fix this that would be great.

    Thanks

    Caley

    Hello,

Set your .sidebar z-index to something much lower, like 100 (currently 99999).

    Have a great day!

Tony, thank you so much, it's working perfectly now. I've been trying to figure out the problem and just couldn't see what was wrong.

    Hi Caley,

I'm glad I could help. It's easy to overlook these things for sure!

I am having the same problem that the dropdown menus are going behind the slider, but only in Internet Explorer 10 and Window 8. I do not know what a z-index is from the solution above. Please explain. I did very minimal CSS editing to the Education theme.

    50.87.4.16/~jmkaplan is the temporary URL.

    Thanks for your help!
