    Referring to this post: http://my.studiopress.com/snippets/author-box/#modify-title
    How to display author name in author box instead of "about the author".
    Thanks for your help.

    What child theme are you using? The author's name (whatever is set as the display name in the user's profile) should display by default. If that's not the case, just paste this into functions.php:

    //* Customize the author box title
    add_filter( 'genesis_author_box_title', 'custom_author_box_title' );
    function custom_author_box_title() {
    	return '<strong>About the Author</strong>';
    }

    And on that last line where it says About the Author, change the text to whatever you'd like it to say.

    Am I missing something? I feel like I might have misunderstood the question.

    Thanks for your reply, what I want to display is the name of the author instead of "About the Author". Changing the text there will not solve the problem. We have 40 authors.

    I want to do exactly the same thing, i.e. we just want to remove the preceding 'About' and display just the author's name. This must be doable, surely?
