    hi all–

i've successfully implemented this tutorial using a lightbox for a staff page. great! but now im hoping to remove the link attached to each name that leads to the individual staff post page. the content in the lightbox is more than sufficient and i dont want people going deeper into the site and to a whole new page.

does anyone know how i can disable that link?

    many thanks,
    emily

I don't see any "staff" links

Hi, my name is Jan Hoek. Sure, they all say I have a big head, but I like to think it’s way too small for all my ideas.

    Hi,
An interesting brainteaser! I have something for you to try. This line should help with that. See this code to get the full context of where this will go in Sridhar's code. The IF statement is needed, or else you'll be un-linking all Post types, not just Sridhar's ones.

    add_filter( 'genesis_link_post_title', '__return_false' );

    Cheers, Dave

hi david, thanks so much for your suggestion! i've implemented the code and if you take a quick look, you'll see that it's working on all the posts except for the first one. any idea why that is?

    You're welcome!
Gee, they all work great on that page for me. Maybe a nice cache refresh? 🙂

well that is odd! so you're saying that when you hover on the name "ned fudd" you dont see a link? all the other names have no links, but that one, even after a cache refresh, is still a live link. i've also looked on my phone and ipod with the same results. i thought i'd wait a couple days just to be sure, but sure enough, that first name is still a link!

any suggestions for how to make that first name behave like the others?

again, thanks for your help with this!

    Hi,
Yes, the first (and all) of them are working for me, so sorry, no suggestions. The only one that comes to mind is this: if you're strictly an Apple and Safari user, never underestimate the stubbornness of its cache, which often won't clear with normal means.

Sometimes it takes WMD to clean that thing's cache. I run into clients with that frequently. My designer friend who is 100% Mac uses either Chrome or Firefox and gets better performance.

    Good luck!
    Dave
