    I am working on a client's site http://www.soulfitwomen.com and they want a different header design on their blog page and single posts. This is the code I am using, but doesn't seem to be working on individual posts.

    .single #header {
    	background: url(http://www.soulfitwomen.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/blog_header_new_small.png);
    	border: 0px solid #444444;
    	height: 297px;
    	margin: 0 auto;
    	width: 920px;
    }

    .page-id-17 #header {
    	background: url(http://www.soulfitwomen.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/blog_header_new_small.png);
    	border: 0px solid #444444;
    	height: 297px;
    	margin: 0 auto;
    	width: 920px;
    }

    Any ideas on how I can get the header working right? I appreciate it.

    Try this. Worked in Firebug:

    The problem is you already have a default header image there so you need to add !important

    There is a spacing issue with the header on the blog page. Any idea on how I can add space below it so that it is not flush up against the content and sidebar?

    Here is the link to that page...

    Here is a link to the main site - this is how it SHOULD look...

    I appreciate your help!

    All you need to do is use Firebug to find the class and then add some padding to it:

    .custom-image {
        padding-bottom: 50px;
    }

    Thanks, I am still a novice when it comes to coding, so I appreciate your help here. Is this what I would use for the code?

    .custom-image url(http://singletosmitten.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/Marabeth-Banner-Blog.jpg) {
        padding-bottom: 50px;
    }

    I tried it, but it didn't work for me. 🙁
