    Is it possible to change the amount of space that shows between the logo/nav bar and the top widget? I want it to be smaller so I can get more of the text above the fold.

    It is possible, for sure. If you can include a link to your site we can help point you in the right direction in terms of the css you'd want to change to accomplish this.
