    Hello

    I have created a site using Modern Studio pro. In the settings section of WordPress I have set the date to a UK version.

    e.g. 02/06/15 for the 2nd June

    However, in the date under each blog post it is showing a USA style date - is there any way of changing this? Is there another setting I have missed?

    Many thanks, Alison

    Hi,

    Just to confirm the date is set for UK under Settings -> General -> Date Format. Correct?

    Yes that is correct, but it's not changing the blog date - I even tried changing it to the full written date but it still has the US version under each blog post.

    Yes, it appears that this theme has some specific code in the functions.php that formats the date to US on the post meta info.
    If you are comfortable changing the code in your functions.php, you could remove the format="m.d.Y" from the shortcode to be just [post_date]. I recommend backing up for functions.php before changing and making sure you have FTP access to edit the file and upload the change. I will submit a ticket to StudioPress about this, as I do not see a reason the hardcode that into the theme.

    //* Customize the entry meta in the entry header
    add_filter( 'genesis_post_info', 'ms_entry_meta_header' );
    function ms_entry_meta_header( $post_info ) {

    	$post_info = '[post_date format="m.d.Y"] <span class="by">by</span> [post_author_posts_link] // [post_comments] [post_edit]';

    	return $post_info;

    }
