    Make sure you load dashicons.

    Thanks for responding!

    I have this code in my functions file that should be loading the dash icons (right?):

    //* Enqueue Scripts
    add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'education_load_scripts' );
    function education_load_scripts() {

    	wp_enqueue_script( 'education-responsive-menu', get_bloginfo( 'stylesheet_directory' ) . '/js/responsive-menu.js', array( 'jquery' ), '1.0.0' );
    	wp_enqueue_style( 'dashicons' );
    	wp_enqueue_style( 'google-fonts', '//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Roboto+Condensed:300,700', array(), CHILD_THEME_VERSION );
    	}

    But I added what you suggested and it still doesn't load... :/

    You need to remove or change the .nav-primary class in the CSS.

    Reason: I tested the code when placing the search form in the primary nav which is why i added the nav primary class so the magnifying glass was only added to the search form in the nav menu.

    I did add a note for that in the tutorial which you must have missed:

    All CSS code includes the .nav-primary class as the code has been tested using the primary nav menu extras which displays a search form in the primary nav menu.
