Customizing subscription box on header: Minimum Pro

Hi,

My website is http://www.prayersandapples.com. I'm just in the process of setting Minimum Pro and I added the JetPack subscriptions plugin to Site Tagline Right widget. However, I don't like how the "Subscribe" box sits under the email form box. I'd like my header to look like: http://www.oliviarosecosmetics.com/ . I'd then like to change the color of the button to match my site. Any suggestions?

Try the Genesis eNews Extended plugin - Minimum Pro already has styling for it in style.css, so it will match the site better. Once it's in place, you can follow this tutorial if it isn't displaying horizontally: http://sridharkatakam.com/adding-horizontal-opt-form-genesis/

Thanks, Andrea. That seems like it would work perfect, but is there any other way you know of that could work with Jetpack Subscriptions? Right now that's the service I'm using, and I just found this thread that says the two aren't compatiable yet: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/use-with-jetpack-blog-subscription . I'm sure I'll get MailChimp somewhere down the line (then I can use the eNews plugin), but until then any other ideas?

You can use a tool like Firebug to see what CSS rules the Jetpack subscription form is using, then change your stylesheet to override those rules. I haven't used Jetpack subscriptions personally, so I can't advise on the specifics.

Thanks, I'll try that. For now, I'm working around it by using the jetpack subscriptions widget in the background overlay - it centers nicely and looks a little better anyways 🙂
