    I am working with the Genesis Responsive Slider for the first time.

    I would like to create a custom look using the slider. Have my the slider at the top of the blog posts and sidebar to the immediate right of the slider.

    I added a widget area under header and installed the Genesis Responsive Slider.

    I am needing to figure out how to move my sidebar up so it is to the right of the slider.

    I also would like to do CSS customizations to the slider.
    I tried adding :
    php]<?php

    add_action( ‘init’ , ‘as247_remove_slider_styles’ , 15 );
    function as247_remove_slider_styles() {
    remove_action( ‘wp_print_styles’ , ‘genesis_slider_styles’ );
    }

    [/php]
    to my theme functions and then copying a pasting the slider CSS & editing it but its not working for me.

    You can use !important in your CSS or dequeue the plugins style sheet and then enqueue a copy of the plugins style sheet to your child theme and modify it there.

    What hook did you use for the widget?

    Try one of these:

    genesis_before_loop
    genesis_loop
    loop_start
    genesis_before_entry
    genesis_entry_header

    Thanks Brad! That worked and I am making progress!

    Now I can't figure out why only half of my image is showing up in the slider? Any ideas?

    I can't access your source code or CSS so its very difficult to say but it may have something to do with the slider settings.
