    Hello.

I'm new the customizing the Gensis framework so my apologies if this is an easy fix but I can't seem to find an answer anywhere. I am using the Altitude theme and I have the Portfolio Post Type plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/portfolio-post-type/) activated for the portfolio section on my website.

Everything is working perfectly except that my portfolio posts look identical to my regular posts. I have found that this is because I don't have a "single-portfolio.php" file that tells the plugin to use a different post template so I've created one but I can't seem to find the content for this in the Genesis framework.

I mainly want to remove the date from the top and the post meta info from the bottom but only on my portfolio posts. Can anyone help me with this?

The plugin is not a Genesis plugin so any modifications need to be asked on the plugin Developers forums.

If you add a portfolio custom post type using code from a Genesis child theme, you can also create a single-portfolio.php file and modify it using the code snippets.

Thanks for the quick reply. I've created a page and named it appropriately but how do I handle what displays and what doesn't? I'd like to remove the date from the top. I've found how to do that with code snippets but that works on all posts including the custom post types.

Add the code directly to the single-portfolio.php file.
