Hi, is there any way I could configure the portfolio page to display some text above all the pictures preferably without a plugin. So like from top to bottom it would be header> text (centered preferably)> portfolio items. I'm not too picky about how this could be arranged other than the lack of plugin part, if it's a must I'll commit though.

    Thanks in advance!

open functions.php file and replace this line

'supports' => array( 'title', 'editor', 'author', 'thumbnail', 'excerpt', 'trackbacks', 'custom-fields', 'revisions', 'page-attributes', 'genesis-seo' ),

    by

'supports' => array( 'title', 'editor', 'author', 'thumbnail', 'excerpt', 'trackbacks', 'custom-fields', 'revisions', 'page-attributes', 'genesis-seo', 'genesis-cpt-archives-settings' ),

Now you will get a Archive Settings page under Portfolio Menu and setup the archive page
