I want to add a search bar to the primary navigation menu bar in the genesis sample theme. Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm not sure where to start.

Do you add this to the functions.php file? The link you gave has the code but no instructions. Thanks.

I added the code to the functions.php file and updated the file. However, nothing about the customized menu options changed. How do I add the search bar? OR Where do I access the "extras"?
