    Hi all

    I want to add a optin form with enews extended to my side bar and along with it customise it to look something like the image shown in the link below.

    http://www.newedgemarketing.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/GET-FREE-UPDATES-DELIVERED-STRAIGHT-TO-YOUR.png

    I thought i needed to add some padding around my text and form fields but what I've tried so far doesn't work, this is what I added (I've removed this now)
    p {
    padding-top: 25px;
    padding-right: 50px;
    padding-bottom: 25px;
    padding-left: 50px;
    }

    Essentially I want some space around the text and form fields and between each form field I'm not a developer which is why i don't understand this stuff very well.

    I'm sure I've used this before and by default there was space between each form field but for some reason now there's not.

    And I don;t know whether this should be padding margin or what

    Anyone any ideas?

    Thanks, S

    Hi S ,

    You are correct in that this would be the padding inside the enews widget. And you might need to increase your font size. You can experiment with styles in your browser using a tool called Inspect Element that most browsers have. Here is a short tutorial that goes over this and includes a video:

    https://www.nutsandboltsmedia.com/how-to-customize-your-genesis-child-theme-with-chromes-inspector/

    In your style.css file starting around line 160, the enews widget is set to a default padding all around of 30 px:

    /* Enews Extended Widget
    ------------------------------------------------------------ */
    .enews-widget {
    background: #0971C1 !important;
    padding: 30px;
    }

    You can adjust the padding there or if you wanted to only change it for the sidebar, just add .sidebar in front of it so you would have

    .sidebar .enews-widget

    Hope that helps!
