Today I updated Genesis to 3.0 and then found out, that my custom title code doesn't work properly any longer.
https://www.rainerklar.de
The code is something like
<mark style="font-family: 'Josefin Sans', sans-serif;color: #ffffff;background-color: rgba( 0, 0, 0, 0 );margin-left: 60px;padding: 1% 3%;">TITLE</mark>
On other pages there is a semi-transparent background with
<mark style="font-family: 'Josefin Sans', sans-serif;color: #FFFFFF;background-color: rgba( 0, 0, 0, 0.3 );padding: 1% 3%;">TITLE</mark>
In both cases the background changed to yellow after upgrading. That isn't what I want and have coded.
Any suggestions about that? Is it a bug?June 20, 2019 at 11:24 am #491766AnitaKeymasterYou have the SiteGround Optimizer optimizing the styles. I would deactivate that first. What theme are you using there?

June 20, 2019 at 12:10 pm #491767Dan-cerMemberI'm using lifestyle-pro.
You mean deactivate the optimizer, update Genesis and then re-activate the optimizer?June 20, 2019 at 12:18 pm #491768AnitaKeymasterNo, deactivate the optimizer so you can troubleshoot. That doesn't give you a clear picture of the website when things are optimized. Deactivate then check to see how the site is working. Write back when it's done.

June 20, 2019 at 12:37 pm #491771Dan-cerMemberOk, I've deactivated the plugin. The site is working fine still.
Since I got no more input from You I upgraded Genesis again while have SG Optimizer deactivated. Still same issue with yellow background color on titles.
June 22, 2019 at 4:19 am #491837AnitaKeymasterWhat titles are you talking about? I don't see anything yellow behind the titles. Did you resolve it?

June 22, 2019 at 1:55 pm #491847Dan-cerMemberNo, because I don't want it yellow I restored a previous version of my site with the old Genesis 2.0.1.
I'm waiting for an update since 3.0.1 provides the same bug.June 28, 2019 at 2:47 pm #491996Dan-cerMemberHi Anita,
because I don't want to spoil my public website, I cloned it to show You the yellow background.
Now You can find it - with updated Genesis to 3.0.1 - on
Please tell me if there is any solution available.Thank You in advance!
Kind regards,

Thank you in advance.BTW: Can you recommend to stay at Genesis 2.0.1 because of the bug?
July 5, 2019 at 2:39 am #492133andytcParticipantIt has a '<mark>' style added as shown below -
<mark style="font-family: 'Josefin Sans', sans-serif;color: #ffffff;margin-left: 60px;padding: 1% 3%">Erkenne Dein Selbst!</mark>
In the CSS as below -
mark { background: #ff0; color: #000; }
You can try adding this to custom CSS -
mark { background: none; }

July 5, 2019 at 7:45 am #492137Dan-cerMemberHi andytc,
thank you. This is working well, but without displaying the semi-transparent background-color that I want to have sometimes.
You can see it when comparing these two pages:
1. public site: https://www.rainerklar.de/was-ist-die-richtige-ernaehrung/
2. test site with Genesis 3.0.1: https://test.rainerklar.de/was-ist-die-richtige-ernaehrung/This code
mark { background: none; }
overwrites my custom title code
<mark style="color: #FFFFFF;font-family: 'Josefin Sans', sans-serif;background-color: rgba( 0, 0, 0, 0.4 );padding: 1% 3%;">Was uns wirklich nährt</mark>
Using semi-transparent background depends on my feeling of contrast and beauty of the header-image. So I want to use it individually on certain pages.
Would it be a solution to delete the whole 'mark'-code?July 5, 2019 at 11:33 am #492142andytcParticipantI'd delete the inline styles and just leave it as <mark>
<mark>Was uns wirklich nährt</mark>
Then just change what you want in your style sheet or custom css targeting the page ID's as shown below -
.page-id-345 mark { color: #FFFFFF; font-family: 'Josefin Sans', sans-serif; background-color: rgba(25, 220, 120, 0.4); padding: 1% 3%; }
The page ID shown in the above example is for this page - 'was-ist-die-richtige-ernaehrung'
Now you can target any page you want once you find the page ID
