    I'm using an events plugin that creates a custom post type called events. They are organized by category. I want to create an archive page for each category that displays the custom posts within that category. I know how to do this using page templates, but can't figure out how one would do this using Genesis. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    You simply name the file according to the WordPress Template Hierarchy. https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/basics/template-hierarchy/#custom-post-types

    A template file would contain code like this :

    <?php

    // Add your code here which executes on this template only

    genesis();

    This enables you to customize each archive simply by adding code to the template file in your child themes root directory.
