    I have added a custom post type which works fine but uses the custom theme post styles.

    I am already using a 'custom post class' for some other posts which I also want to apply to my new 'post type'

    How can I do this?

    The reason I want to do this is I already had a bunch of posts using this other style which I've switched to the new post type and I want any new posts to match. (The post class does actually still work for the old pages btw).

    Hope that makes sense?

    I managed to do it be enabling the layouts option in custom post types

    add_post_type_support( 'your_custom_post_type', 'genesis-layouts' );

    So now I just add the custom post id in layout settings as I did before.
