    Ok so I'll admit I'm not too sure what to call this there seems to be so many different header even looking at the genesis visual hooks guide i still get confused.

    I want a different header (the bit with my logo in and menu items) as shown in the image below on my landing page template.
    http://www.newedgemarketing.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/header-21.png

    I've changed the main content width to 700 to 750 which I'm happy with but it means the logo's brought in a lot with it and ideally I'd like to move that back.

    But if that's not possible Id still like to change the colour from white to a blue.

    Any ideas?

    Hi,

    you can move the logo towards the edge with a negative margin-left added to .title-area.

    Depending on what area you want to be blue you can add

    .site-header {
    	background-color: blue;
    }

    or

    .site-header .wrap {
    	background-color: blue;
    }
