I'm trying to build a custom home page template for a client that has several other items, then will display posts. I've tried in the template, but it only shows the title for the page. Also, I need to call in a custom function for a slider (it's on the current home page), and tried (like it's done with current home page, but I get nothing?

    Matthew,

Is there a reason you can't just use the blog template built into the theme?

Hello. I want to show posts (only) on a template page I'm working on. The closest I can get is to show the posts, the footer widget and the footer. I'm presuming that genesis (); is the culprit, but don't know how to fix. I already have the sidebar and footer stuff on page, just need posts. Please help.

Maybe I've not stated the problem right? I'm working on making a custom home page template, but am having problems getting posts into the page, among other things. Any ideas?

Matthew, I was looking for something else here in the forums and noticed that you don't have any replies.

Did you figure this out? I wasn't quite sure by the state of the link. I'd be glad to help if you're still having trouble.
