    I have tried to use Custom Header Extended for posts plugin by Justin Tadlock. Am looking to have custom headers for posts on my site.

    The following code works with a caveat; only if the images are exactly of the same size as specified. The plugin works fine with Twenty twelve.

    add_theme_support( 'custom-header', array(
            'height'                 => 500,
            'width'                  => 1700,
    ) );

    I want to be able to use
    add_theme_support( 'custom-header' );
    and still get the header image to show up.
    Any ideas?

    You could try the WP Display Header plugin or code it using CSS or PHP.

    Brad,

    Thanks for the suggestion on this plugin. However, I am still not getting it to work using Parallax Pro. Is there something I need to do to activate the custom header function?

    On the FAQ page It mentions adding this code to header.php...

    " width="<?php echo get_custom_header()->width; ?>" height="<?php echo get_custom_header()->height; ?>" alt="" />

    Do I put that in functions.php since I am using Parallax Pro?

    Thanks
