Hello!  I have a vision for a custom header and I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction to figuring it out. Take a look here: http://vanmeteria.server276.com/

I'd like to use the Genesis Slider widget to change the main header image while keeping the curve image static.  Is there a plugin that will already do this (oh, could I be so lucky!?!) or is there a way to set the positioning of the green curve css in style.css over top of a widget area? Is it as simple as setting z-indexes?

Also, with the header, I need to remove the full image link back to the homepage and set up an image map to accommodate the facebook and email icons.  Is that header link set in the child theme functions file?

Anyone able to point me down the right road? My head is spinning in the possibilities, I would greatly appreciate your wisdom on the easiest/best route.

    Hi Kimberly,

I recently did a slider in the header of one of my clients site http://pottersvineyard.com/

I believe it was mostly the z index'es and positioning i modified to get it right.
