    Hello
I'd like to have some sort of a teaser box next to my news posts - rather than having the customer creating some div tags and fill it with content when entering the news, I'd like to provide a field for the teaser in the backend when entering a post with the category news - do you have any recommendation how to do this - maybe some plugins, pods?

Last but not least when having some teaser content what's needed to show it next to the blog entry in the front-end?

Thank you in advance for your input.

Advanced custom fields is an excellent plugin to do this.

You will need the code which you can fund in their code examples and use it with a genesis hook and conditional tag in a custom function.

    Thanks Brad
Do you think pods would be overkill - do I need a plugin at all or is there an easy way to do it without using a plugin?

    Hi

Whats are pods? You mean pod casts?

The best solution in my opinion is to use the ACF plugin.

If you know how to use that plugin and have the code then use it.

Its a bit like ACF but not sure if it creates custom meta boxes as haven't tested it yet. If so, use it if you like it.

Otherwise, try ACF and there's others like Custom Content Types by Pippins plugins.
