Probably a silly question but I haven't been able to find the answer. If I create a custom.css file under the Executive Pro child theme directory will it be removed if there is an update to Executive Pro?

The Genesis framework has regular updates and this does not affect the child themes. That being said, what you are calling updates to a child theme such as Executive Pro are not updates, they are in fact brand new themes. The old Executive child theme still works (it was probably not in HTML5 and not responsive) but the new Executive Pro child theme is not an update of it. So if you want to keep your site looking the way it is, just update the Genesis Framework and leave the child theme as it is.

Thank you Lynne. Do you know if they ever roll out updates for child themes?
