    Hello,

I want to make some changes to a child theme, such as to change the width of a side bar and to include a full-width image (1260px by 360px) at the very top of the web site and so on.

I don't want to tamper with the code of the child theme and thus I wonder if one could make a child theme of the child theme?

Or is there another way to work around meddling with the original code perhapsin using a custom.css

    Thank you for your help!

This post touches on your question:

    Child themes of StudioPress Themes

If your only changes are CSS, you can use a Custom CSS interface like the one found in JetPack (and my own child themes) or create a separate stylesheet and add it with wp_enqueue_scripts().
