CSS for Genesis colored buttons

Hi I have just started adding the element to add coloured buttons to my posts using the tutorial here: http://www.studiopress.com/design/colored-content-boxes-buttons.htm

Which works perfectly.

However.

I want to create fairly long buttons that act as call to actions in my blog posts but i want the buttons to span the full width of the post not matter what the screen size.

Currently becuase of the length of the sentence in the button when the screen size is reduced ie when viewing on mobile the button goes over two lines and looks a bit messy. Please see the image in the url

Is there any way i can control this so that first of all even when viewed on desktop the button spans the full width of a post and secondly when screen size if reduced the button still like like one button rather than stepped like it does in the image
