    Firebug always refers to line numbers, but the WP-Editor (which I always use) doesn't show line numbers. Can someone recommend a simple editor that shows them?

    I use WP-Editor. It has line numbers. Be sure to set them in your settings.

    Line Numbers
    Enable Line Numbers:
    Yes No
    This will enable line numbers for the theme editor.
    Default: Yes
