I would like to add a button to a menu item. I chose the Showcase Pro theme because it has a css class of "highlight" as shown in this guide:
    https://docs.designbybloom.co/article/50-showcase-pro-buttons-and-extra-styles

However, when I build my menu it does not have a CSS class area to complete.

    What am I missing?

You need to go to Appearance > Menus. Select the menu you where you want the button. Go up to the top right of the screen and click "Screen Options". Check the box "CSS Classes". Then you will be able to add the "highlight".

Next, find the Screen Options tab at the top right of the screen. Click to open the panel, and check the box labelled CSS Classes.
