    I finally set up a Quickblog post type on my Minimum site. Now, I'm thinking what while I can simply display the posts as an archive page, it would be much better to display them on their own page much like a page with the blog template applied to it would work.

    How do I create another blog template that shows posts from my Quickblog post type rather than posts from the standard WordPress Posts post type?

    I believe you can just copy the home.php file and rename it something like page_quickblog.php, creating a new page template (make sure you name the template). You'll have to specify that the query should include only your custom post type.

    Then you can create a new Page and specify in the dropdown that it should use the Quickblog template.
