    Hello,

I really need help on the correct header size for a PC or MAC to have designed or edit the current size via css coding to upload for the Genesis Sample Child Theme for an unpublished website. I was advised (320px ?— 164px) & (640px ?— 328px) and clearly they aren't the right sizes. I originally used 1260px X 240px and that wasn't big enough so I'm now not sure how smaller sizes would have worked. The last piece of advice I received was:

"If you would like to make the image larger, you will need to edit the code that I've helped you add to the theme. Also, since the image will be large, you will need to edit the style.css file to make sure it fits on all screens"

I am as green as green can be with this stuff and I am way over my head here with my purchase...So, do I need to go back to my designer again to make up a bigger size? and if yes, what size? or is there a video tutorial somewhere for me to view somewhere so I can learn how to execute the above captioned quote in paragraph 2?

I would be grateful for any advice. Thanks in advance.

The 320px x 164px is the default size for a logo that goes into the header.

Here's a link to add a custom header to the Genesis Child Theme: http://my.studiopress.com/tutorials/setup-custom-header/

Where it says "960" and "100" you can change the dimensions to what you need. The Genesis Child Theme default max-width for content is 1140px, so that's where I'd start.

    Hope that helps.
