    Hello;

    I am going to convert my wife's site to a responsive theme, right now she is using Freelance and we don't use the home page thus a very simple site. What responsive theme do you think would be the easiest for me to flip her into? http://psychiatristscottsdale.com

    Thanks,

    John

    1. Easy way would be switching to all new genesis html5 theme which is responsive by default.

    2. To add responsive feature to this theme, download sample genesis theme. Copy the responsive media query code in functions.php file and then add responsive css code in current theme's style.css file. This will require lot of testing and code modification though.

    Sounds like it might be easier just to change one of the HTML5 studiopress themes and then tweaking the side bars and menu? I was told that switching to HTML5 doesn't in and of itself make a theme responsive? just for fun check out this responsive theme I tweaked with the Genesis Extender http://homesbymenefee.com and let me know what you think?

    Thanks,

    JOhn

    For a start, its real good. Lot of blank space at bottom area in mobile. You may want to work more on customizing look for small screen devices. Check here - http://www.responsinator.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fhomesbymenefee.com%2F

    Thanks I am still adding content to it and I removed the footer credits which left some blank areas but the purpose of the site was two fold 1. show pretty pictures 2. search for homes. and that is it. nobody really cares about the usual fluffy articles that take up space on these sites I have built about 100 sites for realtors and found this to be true. Thanks for the info but still curios how converting wife's site to html5 (Easy to do online) would be easier than just flipping her to one of the studiopress themes?

    For you wife's website, you can use new theme for fresh look. Here are few suggestions:

    1. Check splash theme (1st one) http://www.basicwp.com/email-marketing-genesis-themes/

    2. Or use latest News Theme - http://demo.studiopress.com/news/

    3. If you can play around with code, you can build narrow width and in your focus on contents like this - http://www.dopottytraining.com/
