I want to put a Contact Form 7 in the sidebar of any Genesis theme. I've tried with Going Green and with the Sample theme. It seems like StudioPress has designed its themes to support Newsletter plugins (a great company and a great plugin), but what about the Contact Form? I work for professionals who want a Contact Form on the sidebar; they don't care if people sign up for their newsletter for the most part. I've seen themes with the Contact Form in the body of a page and on the footer widget, but I'm stumped on this one for a few reasons:

This is my best attempt so far:

    http://tinyurl.com/locaozd (Going Green)

    http://tinyurl.com/khjheu5 (Going Green)

http://tinyurl.com/lrr5cr3 (this is how it naturally falls in the Genesis Sample theme)

    1) Please try the form and see the styling error on the send. How do I get the message field less bulky but keep the send feature working?

    2) How to get the Contact 7 form to style with a black background, but keep the rest of the sidebar and widgets lighter?

Thank you in advance for any help.

    Sara

You need to modify the CSS. Use firebug and inspect the element. Then modify the CSS based on your requirement.

Brad, thank you! I appreciate and have used all your advice.

I appreciate thoughts and feedback from others on this, if others have struggled with this and how they have resolved it.
