ParticipantHi,
I've got one thing to check for you. This often happens if someone published their blog, did a bunch of Posts, and only then decided to allow comments. Even if you did that setting, your existing Posts may have commenting shut off. Edit a Post, and check down near the bottom to see if commenting is disabled. If you have a lot of Posts like this, there's a handy method for that: bulk editing.
Beyond that, some plugin or theme element may be interfering.
Good luck, Dave

ModeratorJason:
Have you done any troubleshooting (for example, disabling all your plugins to rule out a conflict?) Have you switched from your theme to a default WordPress theme, to confirm it's not a Genesis/theme issue?

MemberOk, I just changed the theme to WordPress's 2015. Comments are working. I had already disabled plugins and turned them all back on one by one. It still didnt work with all the plugins off... so how do I fix the problem with this theme? Centric Pro

MemberIf nothing is working, have you tried turning on comments in Settings > Discussion with the option "Automatically close comments on articles older than n days" disabled?
I had the same problem, and this helped me.

MemberHoly curse word erikvlie!
If nothing is working, have you tried turning on comments in Settings > Discussion with the option "Automatically close comments on articles older than n days" disabled?
I too had this same problem with comments not showing on posts, although they showed on pages. I had disabled all plugins, checked my CSS, checked the allow comments in each posts, checked theme settings and WP settings, you name it!
The Marine in me was about to assault... something. I was getting pissed!
But I wasn't aware of this "close comments older than..." setting. I turned it off and problem solved. My comments on posts came back!
Such an easy fix and yet so easy to miss, I guess.
Thanks boss!
