I have just red a conversation in this forum about how to disable Google Fonts in Genesis Themes. The moderator answered to "comment out" certain lines in php functions (I don't transcribe the lines here but I have anotated them). I understand he meant to convert code in simple text or comments, is that right?
Could anybody explain how to comment out some lines in php?

Comment out means to wrap text in comments. In PHP, a single line comment looks like this:
// this is a single line comment
Multi-line comments look like this:
This is an example
of a multi-line comment.
