How do I do a coloured bar for each of the page titles like this site: http://www.ravenlimousin.com.au/index.html

In your style sheet
add

.entry-title {
    background-color: #C91414;
}

or whatever color you prefer.

For future people who read this, the code so kindly given, which I tweaked for this site (because the client wanted it exactly like the example) was:

background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #007a3d;
color: #ffffff;
margin-bottom: 10px;
