    Hi,
That's a weird one. The short answer is, I'm not sure, but I have a couple thoughts for you.

The meta description on their homepage is just fine, But what many people don't realize is that when you do a Google search, depending on the search terms you use, you will not see the meta description, but instead an excerpt relating to the search, usually grabbed from some part of the page. So it may be useful for you to know what the search terms were.

For further analysis, if the site has a Google Webmaster Tools account, lots of revealing info can usually be found there.

I don't know if it's related to what you're asking, but let's say you validate the HTML of the site by going here. I noticed that it's reading as invalid, and I think the reason for that is that there's HTML5 tags in an XHTML site. Maybe not a huge deal.

The code in your message does not appear to be on their homepage, so it may wash out of Google sometime.

Sorry no solid answer, but some paths for investigation.

    Good luck,
    Dave
