I thought that the child sample theme was responsive???? I uploaded my logo to my site http://www.brightstartstudios.com is and shrunk the window and the logo cuts off. I also went on my website on my phone and the logo doesn't even show up... just the text title. What am i doing wrong? Any help is appreciated!

April 22, 2014 at 6:56 am #101832Lauren @ OnceCoupledMemberThe child theme is responsive. I'm seeing the image on all screen sizes, perhaps you just needed to refresh your mobile device to get the updated version. If you want a responsive logo, you'll need to use CSS to add the image and the
background-size:
property to ensure it resizes.

April 22, 2014 at 8:26 am #101862sabrinaoMemberThanks for the info! I did refresh but its still showing the "Genesis Framework" picture logo only on my phone, but not on my desktop. i replaced the original code:
/* Logo, hide text */ .header-image .site-header .wrap { background: url(images/logo.png) no-repeat left; padding: 0;
with this code:
/* Logo, hide text */ .header-image .site-header .wrap { background: url(http://www.brightstartstudios.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/logo.png) no-repeat left; padding: 0;
It looks fine on my desktop but on my phone it is showing the Genesis Logo instead of my own...???
April 22, 2014 at 10:03 am #101879SusanModeratorDid you replace the Logo@2 in your media queries?
April 22, 2014 at 11:56 am #101902sabrinaoMemberIm sorry i don't know what you mean by that? I set the theme options>header to image logo instead of dynamic text.
The text isn't showing up, but the Sample Child theme's logo is showing.... only on mobile though. I can't figure out why. I did refresh my page and clear the cache history on my phone but it's still showing the original child themes logo
April 22, 2014 at 12:09 pm #101911SusanModeratorIn your stylesheet, look for this:
/*
Media Queries
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- */
@media only screen and (-webkit-min-device-pixel-ratio: 1.5),
only screen and (-moz-min-device-pixel-ratio: 1.5),
only screen and (-o-min-device-pixel-ratio: 3/2),
only screen and (min-device-pixel-ratio: 1.5) {.header-image .site-header .wrap {
background: url(images/[email protected]) no-repeat left;
background-size: 320px 164px;
}}
You replaced the logo.png with a logo of your own, but you did not replace the mobile responsive logo ([email protected]) with your own logo for a mobile device, so when someone is viewing your website on a mobile device, they are seeing the Genesis logo.
