I want to change the Tag Cloud words to what I want. How do I do this? I heard that WP Edit was a good option but can I do it without it? The words don’t reflect the topics on my website.

The Tag Cloud uses the words you use for your post tags and categories.

To edit your categories and tags to better reflect what your posts are about, click on Posts in the WordPress admin menu. Then click on Categories and next on Tags. Delete the ones you don't want and add some that you do like.

Then you can go to Appearances > Widgets and find your Primary Sidebar and the Tag cloud widget. Then you can choose to show categories or tags or both.

Marcy my tags aren’t showing up. Why?

I have writing web, writing print, shiatsu therapy, photography, graphic design, comments and blog. I added them to the tag section and marked the tag in the widget area to show them.

You have to assign the tags to a post before they will show up in the tag cloud.

So where do I do this? I am in the tag and I see nowhere to assign it to a post.

When you write or edit your post, if you look over on the right sidebar (below where the Publish or Update button is), you will see Categories and Tags. You can check off the categories from the list.
But for tags, you either have to start typing them, and let the choices pop up, so you can choose one you already created, or you can click the link "Choose from the most used tags."
