    / Essence Pro, by the way.

    I'd like to have separate, blog-style pages for my podcast and contributor columns. The old school way of doing this was to create a Category Page via the Menu.

    Ex: https://www.thegearheadproject.com/category/jdm-journeys/

    While this works perfectly from a content filtering perspective, it looks like I can't change the hero image being pulled from the home page settings. Bummer.

    I did a little homework and tried using custom fields to do this, knowing I can set a featured image for those real, actual pages. Now, the images work fine, but the query doesn't seem to work as everyone out there is telling me it should. I'm getting ALL blog content—not the single category I want.

    Page Template == blog
    Query == query=args
    Value == cat=155

    What am I missing? It's got to be something really simple.

    Please and thank you.

    Use query strings

    Array args will not work.

    Omg.

    I knew it was something simple.

    = != _

    #facepalm

    Thank you.
