On our site, people can "Claim A Post" which sends a request to an assigned email that this person wants to claim this post as their own business and take over upkeep of the post. After verifying the person is legit, I figured we could just change the post author to this new Author username and remove the Unclaimed category and the post would be theirs to upkeep. However when we go in to change the author, only admins and editors come up as possible authors to choose from to change it to.
Is there any way that an admin or editor can change the author of a post to someone with an author or contributor role?http://downtownnola.com/
So I figured out it's a plugin we have in place...User Role Editor. Although I have tried expanding user roles to work this problem out, so far nothing has worked so I'm writing to the plugin forum and hoping someone can help me.
