    How can I change the Favicon script in Genesis framework.

    The standard code is:
    <link rel="Shortcut Icon" href="http://www......." type="image/x-icon" />

    I want to change it to:
    <link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://www......." type="image/x-icon" />

    I want all text in the script to be lowercase.

    How can I fix this?

    Why do you want to "fix" something that's not broken? Nevertheless, you should never change any framework code. What you have to do is copy the genesis_load_favicon() function from genesis/lib/structure/header.php into your child theme's functions.php. Rename the function to something else like my_load_favicon(). Edit the two letters to make them lowercase. Then remove_action( 'wp_head', 'genesis_load_favicon' ); and add_action( 'wp_head', 'my_load_favicon' );.

    Truthfully, I wouldn't even use the favicon in Genesis any long. You'll get more mileage out of site using the WordPress siteicon feature.
