    I am using Education Theme and Yoast WordPress SEO. I'd like to simply change the title tag on the home page. Right now, the title tag is pulling form the site description.  This should be simple but I can't find any posts on this.

    It's in the WordPress SEO plugin settings which is a question for the plugin author.

    Its very simple to change the settings http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-install-and-setup-wordpress-seo-plugin-by-yoast/

    Well if it's so simple, how would you change it... cause I sure don't see it.

    You can correct this one of two ways.

    1.) go into appearance /header and un-check the header text check box

    2.) add the following CSS code to the bottom of the style.css for education #title { display:none !important; }

    Let me know if that works

    That is strange, I am missing some other Genesis items as well but not that one.  Did you try the style I gave you?
