I am creating a child theme and want to have a different header image on one page (Wealth Management) (the client has 2 companies with similar logos under one umbrella).

Because the genesis code has !important after the header image, I cant override it with CSS and dont know how I would go about solving this. I know there is a way, but my PHP isnt that advanced, so if its a hook/unhook thing, I will need some guidance
as to how to write it and where.

    Any help would be appreciated.Thanks.

You can remove the default function and then add back a custom function with another image.

You can do this conditionally from your functions file using a conditional tag or hard code it into a template.

I am not clear which default function I would remove and from where. My functions file doesnt have any header functions. I am not clear how to replace the default genesis header.php into my template. When I added the default into my theme folder it broke it- and that was with no changes.

As I said, I need more clarification. I understand the theory of what I need to do, but need some specifics. Thanks for any help.

Thank you Brad, that has me half way there. After I remove the header, then how do I replace a header for the one page?

You can add it back using CSS or PHP.

To add it back using CSS, one option is to use the page i.d or a custom class with the .site-header class.

Or hook it in using PHP code.

After looking at it, I think the easiest way to change the header logo image only is to use Genesis Simple Hooks and unhook the site title and add some conditional code in there. Thanks for getting me thinking differently.
