Change footer in Mai Lifestyle Pro – how?

Hi guys,

I just bought Mai Lifestyle Pro theme and I am pretty disappointed so far. Have they really implemented footer content that is impossible to remove? Probably not, but it feels that way.

I went into editor and functions.php, where I have tried editing and deleting the following code:

I have tried both Genesis Custom Footer and Genesis Simple Edits. Sure, text gets added through those plugins - but it doesn't erase the themes footer content which links their own site. I have deleted cache when trying. And there are no options within the theme for the exisiting footer.

I am terrible at coding and my experience is limited with Genesis, but I have tried fixing this for the last 3 hours now.

Any ideas how to edit?

I just sorted it out, somehow. I edited the above code a little bit again and re-activated one of the footer plugins that I downloaded. For some reason it worked now.

Not a bad introduction to the forum and unfortunately I can't delete the thread.

Custom code which filters the footer may not work when the Genesis Simple Edits plugin is active as it uses the same filter hook which overrides the code.

Hey Olov, sorry for your troubles. The code should be self-explanatory if you know a little PHP. We have made sure that our custom footer still works with Genesis Simple Edits though, so there should be no problem overriding the footer.
