    Hi there,

Is there anyway to make the logo in centric-pro retina responsive? I tried doing the logo as a background of .title-area or .site-title; however, the site title text would always overlay on top of it. If I deleted the site title text then no background image at all would appear.

I've tried searching solutions online and couldn't find any that worked.

Any help would be much appreciated!

    Cheers

I'm curious was well. I guess it can't be done via the header image uploader?

Remove the custom header functionality, then add in CSS for your new header. Update the CSS in your media queries for a retina ready header. and mobile responsive headers.

HI Susan - any chance you could provide a step-by-step for this with the actual code to use?

I would expect StudioPress to have built in Retina-ready header logo functionality. Can't understand why it's not.

    Regards,

    G

I'm surprised that there seems to be no header logo functionality in Genesis.

There's not even any code available in the snippets collection! It's very disappointing.

I do think that the lack of header support is a missed opportunity. And Retina support for a header image is needed (it's a HUGE market) - everything else generally looks sharp and then when you upload a header image that isn't scalable for Retina, it just looks naff.

If we can get the code needed (or even better - StudioPress to allow the uploading of an image at twice the size of the current upload size for the header in Centric and scale it down to 50% for Retina support) - that would be great.

The built in menu for headers under Appearance -> Header is a core WordPress menu.

It is not specific to our themes and needs to be fixed in WordPress itself.

I guess it pays to read the Genesis instructions. Because once I did I found out how to use an image logo in the header. It's not idiot proof, but it is there.

I also noticed there to be a placeholder logo named [email protected] which I would assume to be for higher res displays.
