    Just trying to get Centric Pro all set up properly, and it's doing something strange with the navigation menu. On the home page, it's displaying primary navigation menu in between the widgets Home 1 & 2.

    I've looked in the functions.php file to see if there's anything strange in there about repositioning the primary navigation menu, and there doesn't seem to be. I haven't touched it since installing the Centric Pro theme.

    Any ideas on why it's appearing that way?

    You can see it on my test domain here: http://tg.spacebarpress.com

    Thx!

    You need to change the width of the menu in CSS.

    Sorry, guess I needed to be more clear...

    I'm not talking about the menu in the header right widget at the top of the page, but rather, the menu that's appearing in the middle of the page. Scroll down and you'll see it just after the gray section titled "Connections & Relationships"

    Julia,

    I think this is because the Home 1 Widget is always right below the header as a banner. This theme is intended to use the header-right menu.

    You can simply NOT use the Home 1 widget, though I still think the alignment is off a bit.

    Or, you can go into the home template and tweak what order the elements appear.

    I'm not certain this is the ideal way of doing this, but I moved the primary nav above the Home 1 widget area by adding the following to functions.php.

    //* Reposition the primary navigation menu
    remove_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'genesis_do_nav' );
    add_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'genesis_do_nav', 1 );

    It basically removes the nav from the genesis_after_header hook and then adds it back again, but that comma followed by the "1" tells it to put it 1st in line of all the things being loaded to that hook. This gets it in there before the Home 1 widget area.
