I'm designing the front page of an Altitude Pro site, and the "latest posts" shows all categories by date. I'd like to show only one category as the front page, hiding all other categories. Is there a way to do this?

If you're using a Genesis Featured Posts widget, just select the category in the widget.

I'm talking about the front page setting to "latest posts," the basic setting from within the customized theme. I have no other option but ALL my posts. I'd prefer what Genesis Featured Posts does, or other Studiopress themes offer: let the blog page be limited. Is there a way to do this?

I specifically want only one category to show up on the front page.

@chrisjeub use this - https://gist.github.com/cre8tivediva/b6a7714f294c12c8b92cc9ca9943d74a. Change the number (5) on line 4 to the category you want displayed on the home page. See if that works for you.

Oh, shoot. I'm so sorry, I using Eleven40 Pro (not Altitude Pro). Does my frustration seem reasonable now? (I feel bad for wasting your time, but I really want this solved.)

What I provided to you should work. It's generic to say "only display the following category on the home page." So add the category id number of the category you only want to show on the home page.
