Can't figure out a spacing problem in authorbox

I'm pulling my hair out with this one....In the authorbox just before the comments here there's extra spacing between the About the Author heading and the paragraph.  It DOESN'T happen on the author archives pages here.

 

Anyone have any ideas?

tag on the post page, just below the

<h2>

that doesn't exist on the author page.

So the hacky, probably-not-so-good way of fixing the problem is to add the following:

.author-box br {
    display: none;
}

There are probably better ways of fixing it, but that should do it.
