    Hello Everyone,
I need your help. I am trying to figure out what code do I need to use to change the colors in the navigation and background using Outreach theme. My client's site is http://pmctaxes.com/. As you can see, the entire upper and middle background is dark grey which is a default of the theme. I would like the upper header section to have a custom color; the navigation bar to have a darker blue (requested by my client) and the section under the slider to be another color.

A very good example of the look I am trying to achieve is this site which uses outreach, http://educulture.com/. As you can see, the upper header section is purple, the navigation is a burnt orange and the section below the slider is a light grey.

Thanks everyone for your help. I am taking maintenance mode off my client's site for the weekend in case you need to see it.

    Do you have Firebug? http://getfirebug.com

You can use it to inspect the page elements and view the CSS rules acting on those elements. That will help you find what needs to be changed. In each area you mentioned, there is a background image assigned, which is why color changes won't work - the images are overriding any color you set.
